Old Glory Forge owner and founder, Matthew Chupp, grew up in southwestern Wisconsin on his family’s dairy farm. He knew that he always wanted to do more and see more of the world so at the age of 18, Matt enlisted in the military as a Combat Engineer. Serving in both the US Marines and US Army, he retired in August 2020 with almost 21 years of faithful service to this great nation. Like most veterans, he needed a new creative outlet in life to focus on. After being invited to spend a day with Retired U.S. Army CW4 Greg “Gravy” Coker at Crusader Forge, Matt found his new passion and a spark was born.

When Matt is home from hunting, either by himself or guiding others, he spends his time forging knives.
